Gelli Printing on Fabric

Inspiered by http://andthenwesetitonfire.blogspot.de/ I've made another gelatin printing plate and tried some prints on white fabric. My first tries where with fabric paint but the paint didn't work well on the gelatin. I haven't an opaque paint so I switched over to acrylic paint. Then it worked well.

to remove the paint from the printing plate I used deli papers - and got great ghost prints for my art journal

Journal Page

This is the first Page of week two form the ART, HEART & HEALING class at www.willowing.ning.com.
As I told you I  participate in these great online class.

This time we learned how to alter a board book (I took my Art Journal instead of a children's board book) and how to make acrylic transfers.
You can see two pictures of me when I was a very young girl that I used for the transfer technique.

The second lesson will be to create whimsies (I'll post my result here when I finished it)

The healing focus is on healing childhood trauma and on honouring the self.
