Week 12 - The Documented Life Project

The challenge this week was: "As A Focal Point - Coming into Focus".
This page is the solution of the page in week 11. For me both pages belong together. When I came to one of my inner borders which I for myself can not overcome, my GOD can do this for me.
For the background I used crayons which I blurred with baby wipes to a smudge tone. And then I stamped on in different colors and shapes. I printed the text in the focal point out and at least had done my hand lettering.

Week 11 The Documented Life Project

Week 11th challenge was:"Borders" - "Borderlines feels like I'm going to loose my mind." My interpretation is an inner border, inner borderlines make me feel like I'm going to loose my mind. I wanted to bring it out and on the paper by panting a woman in chains.

first layer is gesso - as always in my journal and this time a pencil drawing

Week 10 Of The Documented Life Project

This week was a big challenge for me. First of all the Challenge itself bothered me: "Doodles and Mark Making as a Layer Element". How should I doodle as a layer element? And then I had this terrible "accident" with gesso over not dried black paint.... But see yourself:

I started with this cool painters tool and red acrylic color on yellow toned gesso

with different household tools stamped pattern

my self made stamp form week 8

and here it happened! the black wasn't dry enough so I smashed up the hole page.... but:

after some more gesso - when all layers were dry - I got a very cool background for my page and started again with red

I limited my palette to red, black, white and silver

an then i doodled and doodled....

here you can see that background

at least I am happy with my page!
